Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas 2008
A near no-travel holiday for us this year (yippee!) with Grammy and Poppy making the trip up to Fort Mill and spending their first Christmas morning with the kids since our trip to Columbus in 2002 with Will. The beauty of it was Tim and Emma joined us as well which made it doubly special for Grammy and Poppy and gave us even less reason to go anywhere all day. All good. In addition, we had a very nice visit to Winston-Salem for our traditional Christmas Eve celebration with Cindy’s family. Only one minor downside from the holidays…returning to normal sugar levels is causing some issue for both kids and parents.

Gobble! Thanksgiving 2008 and other events in November
We had a Columbus Thanksgiving this year with food from the start of the visit until we walked out the door with full bellies on Sunday. Great food, daily golf outings, cake, cake and more cake were highlights of our visit. It is always easy to relax down there and we enjoyed having nearly the entire family down with us. In addition to the link to the Turkey Day pictures you will find links that show a few shots of our trip to the mountains and the Operation Christmas Child outreach that Cindy and a few friends from the ‘hood helped organize. 200 boxes were packaged for kids in 3rd World Countries that would not otherwise have Christmas.
