2007 Beach Trip – Isle of Palms, SC
Another fantastic family beach trip is in the bag! 7 days just north of Charleston, SC included 2 shrimp and crab leg boils, the annual pilgrimage to Wild Wings where we feasted on over 100 wings, daily treks to the beach where we enjoyed low tide and the “beach river”, cold beverage, daily desserts, “mini putt-putt”, Playstation Karaoke, kids dance parties, the Tour de France coverage, Thomas the Train on the coffee table, afternoon naps, restaurants both new and old (Atlanticville in Sullivan’s Island was the new and Fleet Landing in Charleston was the old), an unfortunate encounter between the Lane’s minivan and a deer in downtown Mt. Pleasant, sun, sunscreen and much, much more. Pretty amazing that this marks the 5th year with the same three families and five children. This was also the first year in a while that we revisited the same home and introduced no new children on the trip.

Summertime Visitors!
Grammy, Poppy and Emma came up to the Mill and stayed a full week with us. I think they visited the pool everyday they were here and the golf course almost everyday. Having them here plus Nanny and Emily earlier the previous week really helped us out while our daytime sitter took some much deserved vacation. Having an actual bedroom for these guests to stay in hopefully will help encourage repeat visits soon!
