Fall 2006 – Pumpkins, Bikes, Cars and a Nap

An assortment of fall pictures including a visit to the local pumpkin patch, some bike riding (Will made a breakthrough with flatter and wider sidewalks) and a nap Will decided to take in the office where he fell asleep in a buddha-like pose mid-sentence.

2006 Race for the Cure

Stewart, Will and Cindy all participated in the 2006 Race for the Cure here in Charlotte. Mom ran her 5k personal best at 24 minutes, Stewart ran her first race ever (all 50 yards of it) and Will placed “first” (what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him here) in his dash. Dad allowed no kids to get lost while mom was off racing. I made a case for a ribbon but have been told that no lost kids places me squarely in the middle of the “operating in the basic expectations” category.

The Suttons (all of them) go to the Beach

In an unprecedented family move, the entire Sutton family headed to Wild Dunes to spend the better part of a week together. Fun was had by all as we played at the beach, ate great food (lots of crab legs and shrimp boiled up by Poppy), and goofed off together. It should be noted that the boy team crushed the girl team every time the “Battle of the Sexes” game was pulled out. A yearly tradition has likely taken shape.
